Ro fired off a kamehameha

((Does Ro even know kamehameha?)) "Good, could be better. But that's enough ki play for now. Can you fly?"

Ryuzaki mumbled something of the semblence of, "Talk about difference betweenn clever and smartass," at thw Kamehameha. "Nope," he told Cyril.

Rosentan shrugged. "Universe falling apart. Logic need not apply."

Ryuzaki narrowed his eyes at Rosentan, "Don't exploit the injured universe," he scolded.

"The universe is reverting to its original state not falling apart." Cyril said. "Alright then Ryuzaki, I'm about to teach you an unconventional method of flight. There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. Its knack lies in learning to throw yourself at the ground and miss. Clearly, it is this second part, the missing, that presents the difficulties." Cyril began, "You must learn how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. Pick a nice day and try it. The first part is easy. All it requires is the ability to throw yourself forward with all your weight and the willingness not to mind that it's going to hurt. That is, it's going to hurt if you fail to miss the ground. If you are really trying properly, the likelihood is that you will fail to miss the ground fairly hard.

One problem is that you have to miss the ground accidentally. It's no good deliberately intending to miss the ground because you won't. You have to have your attention suddenly distracted by something else then you're halfway there, so that you are no longer thinking about falling, or about the ground, or about how much it's going to hurt if you fail to miss it.

It is notoriously difficult to pry your attention away from these three things during the split second you have at your disposal. Hence most people's failure, and their eventual disillusionment with this exhilarating and spectacular sport.

If, however, you are lucky enough to have your attention momentarily distracted at the crucial moment by, say, a gorgeous pair of legs (tentacles, pseudopodia, according to phyllum and/or personal inclination), or a bomb going off in your vicinity, or by suddenly spotting an extremely rare species of beetle crawling along a nearby twig, then in your astonishment you will miss the ground completely and remain bobbing just a few inches above the ground in what might seem to be a slightly foolish manner.

This is the moment for superb and delicate concentration.

Bob and float. Float and bob.

Ignore all considerations of your own weight and simply let yourself waft higher.

Do not listen to what anybody says to you at this point because they are unlikely to say anything helpful.

They are most likely to say something along the lines of 'Good God, man, you can't possibly be flying!' It is vitally important not to believe them or they will suddenly be right.

Waft higher and higher. Try a few swoops, gentle ones at first, then drift above the treetops, breathing regularly."

Ryuzaki ran off, screeching a battle cry.

Sen made everyone sandwiches

"Er...?" Cyril took a sandwich and thanked Sen.

Rick looked down at the planet of Heaven. Taking a deep breath, he ordered his ki and strength to help him break free of the moon's gravity. As he began his fall, an eagle screech could be heard for some reason. He had quite a long while to contemplate his existance. "Yay, terminal velocity," he cheered. Ryuzaki passed speeders and things. He noticed a Seraphesque hotel with different races. He slowed down to notice them all, staring. Feeling he missed some, he went back up a bit. "Hmm. That green guy looks annoying. Ooh, a robot! Aah, a freaky alien genotype!"

He gently landed, realizing that he succeeded. He turned around and noticed a hospital, and a man who wasn't as successful as Rick. He shrugged it off and found a space suit and flew back to the others. "Well, that was eventful," he said, taking off his space suit and sighing contently.

Rosentan clapped

"Bravo!" Cyril clapped. "I was worried you were going to die."

Ryuzaki took a sandwich. "Yay," he said. "You know," he took a bite and swallowed, "first bit of food since Christmas."

Rosentan teleported around for no reason.

Cyril nodded idly. "Well, anyway. How's your ki sense Ryuzaki?"

Ryuzaki shrugged, "Good enough to tell that you're" he nodded at Cyril, "much more powerful than," he nodded at the shifting Rosentan.

Rosentan looked at Ryuzaki. "Blame Mary Sue."

"Well, at least you have the very basics of it then. It would take a simpleton to not realize the difference." Cyril looked apologetic, "No offense Rosentan, but I am approximately 52 times more powerful. And we're both pretty powerful so it's easily sensed." Cyril went on, "Lets get a bit more specific. Are you aware of the system used to measure power levels, you know, the numbers and such?"

"Not really," Rickyuzaki admitted.

Rosentan looked at Cyril. "Wasn't specifically referring to you there. But whatever." He turned an watched Ro, Sen, and Tan begin sparring.

Ryuzaki blinked at Sen, "Purple eyes? What the fuh?"

"Well, we rank power levels by numbers Ryuzaki. I am 65,045,000. Rosentan here is 1,243,631. You are 5,500. It's a hard thing to teach. Experience is the best way to learn, really. Rosentan, any pointers?"

Rosentan thought for a moment. "If you find someone at least 5 times your own strength don't piss them off...or something."

Ryuzaki took notes.

"Yeah that sounds about right."
