Cyril shrugged. A moment passed and he had managed to stop glowing.

"Aw."

"Need to pass as a normal person sometimes." Ryuzaki coughed, "Lily, fight Cyril."

"What? You can't be serious. The power gap is so wide a spaceship could fly through it. Amaterasu's spaceship." Cyril said. "You would be a much better sparring partner."

Lily did something.

Ryuzaki sighed. "I'm sorry. I am so, so sorry, Cyril, but if you won't fight her.. SWAP NOW," he shot a mind swap beam at Lily.

A shield of ki blossomed in front of Lily and stopped the attack. Cyril picked up Rick with one hand. "What the HELL do you think you're doing?"

Lily liked it when Cyril was aggressive. She did not like being threatened though.

Ryuzaki smiled, "Good. You've retained your compassion for life. I had to make sure," Rick said.

"What? Of course I have, I'm a Kai for god's sake!" Cyril dropped Rick, irritated.

"I don't think he'll lose his Seraph-ness," humanity was for humans. "I'll keep him grounded. Promise."

Rick nodded at Lily and gestured to the palace, "Real training begins tomorrow! Get some rest, you two. This is yours, now, Cyril."

Cyril hummed discontentedly at being trained by Rick, but whatever. "So it is, come on Lily, let's take a look around at our new palace." Cyril put an arm around Lily.

Cyril and Lily walked into the palace and look about. Everything was pristine and inviting in the main hall. A set of stairs took up a large portion of the room which led to higher levels. They eventually got to bed unless there was more narrative to be had.

Rick found a guestroom and unpacked hia things. He jumped into bed and the screen faded to black....

Ryuzaki awoke precisely an hour before Seraphim sunrise, so he made the still sleeeping Seraphim a spread of breakfast in the palace kitchens. The TARDIS gently hummed various, complex recipes into his head.

He set plate after plate onto the dining room until it was covered in every fancy food from Applegrass biscuits to Zen-bacon.

Cyril awoke with the mysterious lighting. There didn't seem to be a sun. How odd. Cyril followed his nose to the dining room where Rick had prepared a veritable feast. "Wow, I didn't know you could cook, Rick!"

Lily woke up as soon as Cyril left the bed. She walked into the dining room behind him, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Lily stopped and stared at all the food. "Oooooh," she hadn't had food like this since a few days before she died. Oneiroi were not good cooks. Lily began to fill her plate eagerly. "Morning Cyril, morning Rick."

Rick smiled, "Morning. Dig in, Cyril," he said.

Cyril dug in. "This is delicious Rick," he mumbled with a mouth of Applegrass biscuits.

Lily nodded vigorously. "So, Rick, I suppose we don't really know each other very well."

Rick cleared his throat, straightening his tie, "I am Hideki H. Ryuzaki, ruler of the Roman-Nutopian Empire." He shifted uncomfortably as if he needed to make sure that was a valid claim or not or if all his shit was taken or destroyed again.

Cyril nodded as he ate, validating Rick's claim.

"Roman-Nutopian Empire," Lily mulled this over as she ate. "Never heard of them. Do you mean Nova Roman?"

Rick nodded, "Yup. I have the Nova Romans under my subjugation. Very fun."

"The Nutopians are his own people." Cyril put in.
