Stuff

Sarah looked down. "The black winds howl. The wings of death descend upon the anwary, sweeping away the weak."

Cyril turned to look at Sarah, "What are you saying?" Cyril looked concerned.

"It was...something that I was told....I don't know who or when. That's just all I can think about right now."

Cyril glanced at Amaterasu, "Keep an eye out." he said warily. "We're gonna keep going."

There were two large gates on the left and right sides of the rooms. Neither had runes decorating the edges. "Left or right?" he asked Riza.

Riza thought. "Lets to right." Amaterasu smiled and held Sarah's hand. "Lets go."

"Right is always right." Cyril said cheerily and took the right gate. He passed through unharmed and so did Emily.

Only kidding.

As soon as they passed, three wraiths screamed out of the painting behind them and a poisonous fog spilled out behind them. The fog enveloped everyone almost immediately and the wraiths were hidden. Cyril grabbed Emily and ripped off two strips of clothe from his jacket, he wrapped them around his nose and mouth and motioned for Emily to do the same. "Everyone, follow the sound of my voice. If you can see me, grab a hold."
Emily clutched at Cyril's hand and moved behind him to keep an eye out.

Riza turned into a shadow form. "I'm fine."

Amaterasu was part demon so poison didn't affect her.

Sarah's healing kept her safe. "Where are you?"

"Just inside the right gate. Just follow the whistling." Cyril nudged Emily and she started whistling. "And guys, you probably shouldn't turn into any semi-permeable state. Namely Riza and your shadow thing. The wraiths will attempt to invade you and they're pretty nasty so they might succeed." The wraith's piercing screams suddenly stopped.

The three wraiths swirled dangerously close to Riza in his shadow form and leaped on him...

((I'm turning in for the night now.))

Riza sighed. "Everyone always forgets that I'm a creature of light." He slammed his hands together, creating brilliant burst of holy power that dispersed both te wraiths and te poison.

Cyril squinted as the sudden burst of light. "WHO- Oh, that was just you Riza." Cyril had forgotten Riza was a creature of light. It certainly was easy to forget that about him. "Everyone okay?"

Emily nodded.

Amaterasu rubbed her eyes. "Yeah." 

Sarah was still on edge. She looked around at te surroundings. "Let just hurry."

"Alright. Stick close together." Cyril muttered. He waited for them to bunch together before proceeding.

"What were those things anyway?" Emily asked as she walked along. She untied the cloth around her nose and mouth.

Riza spoke up. "Most likely souls of those who were killed here. Maybe the original inhabitants, or perhaps  adventurers who died here."

"Seems likely." Cyril said. "There are bound to be more."

Emily took heart that Riza could simply destroy them like before. Emily stopped abruptly. "That's different." she remarked as she noticed a huge rune on the left wall.

Riza walked over and studied it. "These are nearly identical to ones we found on Elysium

"Really? Is there a translation?" Cyril asked.

"Nope. I just punched it and it went away."

Cyril prodded him toward the rune, "Let's hope that works again then."

Emily took a step back, just in case.

Sarah pushed them out of the way, drew a few symbols on the rune and it disappeared. "We can continue now."

"What was that, Sarah?" Cyril asked as they journeyed on.

Emily looked behind the group distractedly.

She growled, suddenly extremely hostile. "How the fuck should I know?! You brought me here and now I'm doing shit I didn't even know I could do! Fuck you!"

Riza stepped back, slightly scared. "Sarah?"

"Calm down, Sarah." Cyril said firmly but gently. "I know this must be confusing, but this isn't the place to breakdown."

Sarah sighed. "Sorry...I don't know what came over me. Just hurry up....I need to do something when yor done."

"I can take you home whenever you want." Cyril told her, "But I don't plan on leaving any time soon."

Emily looked back nervously again.

Sarahsjookher head. "I won't be going home. I'm going to go further." 

Amaterasu jumped on Sarah's back. "Then we ride! To victory! Onward my friends!"
