Relaxing

She shrugged. "Maybe. The most we can do is hold it back for a little longer. But when it comes back, it's worse. The universe runs itself. I'm not saying it was wrong what you've done, but you didn't have to give up your sanity for it. In fact, that's just another reason to look up to you, because you were so willing as to give up something irreplaceable like that."

"Well look what it got me. I'm just a bad decision after another." He said as he flickered more

Maynin still didn't know exactly why he was flickering. "Just...That's all I can tell you I guess, I'm not going to force anything on you, not that I could anyways. You don't have to continue to do this anymore, you've done so much already."

"But I have to continue. I have to suffer for what I've done. As much as I would embrace death I cannot. I will never be allowed to rest."

"What about New Ravanix? They forgave you. I'm really sorry that this is what you believe. Because if I can forgive you for ripping my arms off among other terrible things, or that random killing you sometimes do, why can't you?"

"Because I never did anything to the Rava. They forgave me for nothing."

She smiled. "Tell me, do they know how many people you've killed? Good and bad?"

"Not at all."

Maynin pondered over that. "And if they did, how would they react? Do you think they would still forgive you for destroying the universe? After all, it wasn't your fault, right?"

"They would destroy the monument and cast me out. And technically no. But I still did it

"All of them huh? Here's another example, something to get us thinking. Let's just say you are a murderer. Again, example. An entire race of people is brutally tormented and killed off by some overlord. You kill the man, then restore the people and give them a new planet. They still know you're a killer, how will they react to this?"

"Different situation. One I am not in."

"I'm trying to prove a point, answer the damn question." She growled. She blinked and shook her head. "Well?"

"Most would be happy."

"Good. Now, still an example, your still an active murderer. Would you say, this great act, blinded them? That they'll just assume that your okay because what you've done for them was most significant? Or maybe, people try to believe what they prefer and say its right? Now you start killing off their people, and they call you traitor. How can that be if you where killing all along?"

"....what?"

Maynin was secretly glad she could confuse Riza. "Just think of it vise-versa and slightly backwards. Your a good person, most things you do have good intentions, to help. But you did one, more significant, terrible thing. So in this case, destroying the universe, murdering everyone. Most people prefer to think that people like this are dangerous, which is true, but only by their standards. So they call them insane and lock them up because theyprefer their safety. But you've still done all those good things. Just because something is bigger and more important, doesn't cancel out every other thing. Some other universe could think what you did wasn't so bad. Why? Either they are very careless, or just worse."

"Eh."

"So I proved two points, but the more important one, is that I'm not as stupid as I act." Maynin poked him. "Right?"

"......" He blinked. "What? Sorry I wasn't listening. Something about saving an empire?"

"I'm smarter than you think. That is all."

"Intelligence and being smart are two different things."

"So is being a sociopath, insane, psychotic, and crazy. Explain, I like this talk."

"You can be intelligent and still be a complete dumbass." He said as he patted her head.

"So what I've been doing?" She was glad the fight was over. "I guess smart is an adjective. Something done by someone intelligent, right?"
