Relaxing

"Again. If I wanted to hurt you. You'd be dead." He got up and stretched. "Gonna need to learn to e a bit braver. If your scared of very thing then everything your scared of is going to come for you."

"Personally, I think it's okay to be afraid of psychotic murderers. He's a kid Riza! Braver than most! He's stopped plenty of my bloodlust attacks! Any other kid would have hightailed it!"

Sirius squeezed Maynin's hand. "Don't make it worse."

"So I'm a murderer huh? Ever think that I might have a reason for what I did?" Riza was agitated. For the first time around her, he was actually angry.

"I don't know! Punishing the evil is not the same as murdering! So are you a murderer or not Riza? Enlighten me!"

"Maynin stop!"

"Killing the wicked doesn't make you a hero!" He growled. "I'm evil alright. Killing, no matter who it is, is an act of evil. I'm just the evil that kills other evil. But you know what the difference between us is?" Glaring at the Saiyan, he continues. "I don't hide behind a veil of self-righteousness! I know what I am!"

"I never said it makes you a hero! I never said I was a hero! I'm nothing Riza! I have absolutely no reason to live! Riza! Wake up! You don't have to be evil! Only you decide that! No one else! So just shut up about 'oh I'm evil' ya know what? If you were evil, you wouldn't have your family! You would probably be dead!" Maynin fell on her knees and broke down. "Riza! I want to trust you! You're a good person! You just have to realize it!"

Riza growled. "I've heard that same speech a thousand times before. I'm not just an evil. I'm a necessary evil. I do the things that no one else wants to. I get rid of the filth so everyone else can sleep nice and tight in their beds."

Seras put her hand on Riza's shoulder. "Master, pleas calm down..."

Sirius put a hand on Maynin's, calming her down.

Maynin glared at Riza. "Yes, but it seems you just can't get it through your thick skull." She sighed. "If you were evil, you would have killed Sirius already, and me, and everyone else you could kill."

"....of right you weren't here when I destroyed the universe were you? I already DID kill everyone."

Maynin growled. "Riza. Please. You're tearing me apart. You've given me so many reasons to trust you, but you've also given me more reasons to fear you." She paused for awhile. "So what's it gonna be Riza? Can I trust you with my life? With Sirius'es life? How do I know you won't kill me? TELL ME I DON'T HAVE TO BE AFRAID OF YOU!"

Riza looke at her, without any trace of emotion he spoke to her. "I can't promise you anything. As long as you don't do anything stupid I won't have to kill you."

Maynin gave him a cold look. "Then I guess I'll get ready to see Yemma. I can't control myself Riza." She unsheathed her claws. "I can't control this."

Sirius was actually crying quietly.

Riza shook his head. "That isnt even worth my attention."

"Oh so I can do what I want then?"

"MAYNIN! SHUT UP OKAY? JUST SHUT UP!" Sirius pulled away from her. "Maynin! Use your head! We'll be alright! We've made it before!"

Riza looked at the child. "So, maybe your not such a coward are you?" Riza walked over and looked down at Maynin. "Hmph."

Maynin was completely caught off guard. "Sirius? Sirius I'm really really sorry!"

Sirius did nothing. "I've stopped her bloodlust a few times."

"That wasn't bloodlust. That's called being an over emotional teen. You wouldn't last a minute in a real blood frenzy." He stayed silent for a moment. "But....you do show promise."

Sirius remained calm. "No, bloodlust. She killed someone."

Maynin's eyes widened. "Sirius! Why?"

"Yeah...I don't really care.." He said with a yawn, already back to his normal, lazy persona.

Maynin just looked miserable. "Really really sorry, both of you."

Sirius patted her on the back. "Easy."

"Are you still hung up over that? It's common for us. Just accept it and move on."

"I don't like killing." She muttered. Maynin shook her head. "Right then...whatever."

Sirius nodded. "You know, you can be a handful."

Riza popped a sucker into her mouth. "Have some candy kid. Maybe it'll shut you up for a few minutes."

Maynin didn't feel like wondering if it was poisoned. She sat back in the sand and took a nap.

Sirius looked pleased. "First time in a week. Good job. And she's sleeping."

"Thank god." Riza sighed. "Why do I surround myself with crazy people?"
