Passing the Time

"He's right there," Cyril agreed with Emily. "Dunno if he'll be able to maintain a form for much longer though."

"See?"

Amaterasu got up and looked at her father. In a flash she was also hugging him.

Riza sighed. "Hi..." He hugged his daughters. "You act like something important happened."

"Don't know what that could have been," Cyril said of Riza's remark.

Emily reluctantly got up and brushed herself off.

Amaterasu punched him in the gut. "It was important to me....asshole."

Riza reeled from the blow, he was actually very weak now. "Thanks....I think."

Both Cyril and Emily refrained from smirking. "How's the intangibility going?" Cyril asked after the moment had passed.

Riza was hi nonexistent hand. "Still not alive yet."

Akira frowned. "Dad...you can't maintain a corporeal form?"

"Nope."

Akira hugged him tighter. "I'll have to cherish the time that I have then!" She said giggling.

"You know, there's a strong alcoholic drink in some galaxy that causes that," Cyril said thoughtfully to himself. "Any ideas on when you'll make it through this?" Cyril was careful to use certain terms regarding Riza's full return.

Riza shrugged. "Well at te moment I really don't even count as a creature, I believe I'm more like a pure conscience taken physical form right now... Not sure."

"I believe that's a side-effect of another potion in some other galaxy," Cyril smiled at fond memories.

Riza sighed. "This is why I hate people who live more than a few thousand years. It's always "Ohhhh" he said in a mocking dandyish voice. "I've done this! Oh that's just like this other thing! I bet you never did this." I swear to god when I reach 10,000 I'm blowing my brains out."

"Oh hey, I blew out my brains when I was 10,000 too." Cyril added just to piss Riza off.

Riza just ignored it. "So..."

Akira grinned. "Teach me stuff!"

Emily had woken up a bit more by now and set up a second chair Cyril had brought. She sat down and watched the family. "Anything I might want to learn too, Riza?"

Riza shrugged. "Nothing I can teach you that you don't already know...that I feel like sharing..."

Akira looked sad. "So you can't teach anything?"

Riza shook his head. "Sadly I can't."

"No life lessons either?" Cyril asked, "Come on, dad!"

((Can Emily donate some blood so Akira can learn Monstrous Shift?))

Riza whispered his question to Emily.

Emily shrugged, "I suppose I owe you a bit since I... you know what? Never mind." Emily poked Cyril, "Syringe," she commanded.

Cyril produced a syringe with a flourish and handed it to her without paying attention.

Poke. Withdraw. Done.

Akira winced as she wa injected. She always hated needles. 

Monstrous shift learned.

Amaterasu grinned. "Hey Emily, new girl. Wanna learn one of my tricks?"

"Hell yeah!" Emily said.

Cyril decided it was his turn for a nap. Unfortunately his wife had been kidnapped, so no cuddles for him.

Riza offered to cuddle Cyril

Amaterasu handed a practice blade. "I trust you two enough to give you each w legendary sword. Use this practice ones until I decide which are right for you."

Cyril decided to hell with it, let's just take all our characters and smash them together.

Emily took the blade, "Oh wow," she breathed. Emily examined the blade. She had gotten quite familiar with them since her defeat by Elucidia a very long time ago.

"It's just a practice sword."

Akira twirled hers around. Kasmis had been big into swords.

Emily hadn't been wowed at the blade itself, but by the fact she would eventually be receiving an LSS. Anywho, "What will we be doing first?"

"Focus. It's sume. Focus your power into the blade."

Emily held her sword parallel to her body. She focused her limited ki into the sword.
