Journey's Sort-of End

"Sure they aren't shagging?" Rick teased.

"Waterfall thing, fo' shizzle."

"Don't be-" Cyril paused. Amaterasu was like half-succubus right?.... Nah. "Anyway, you mean the Stairway?"

"Yeah. Climbing the Stepladder to Heaven." He began to sing.

"That's... never mind. Come on." Cyril grabbed Jason and teleported them both there. Emily was floating leisurely in the pool below. "Oh, hello Emily. Enjoy your little outing?"

"It was... nice." Emily laughed.

Cyril looked at Rick, "Glad I didn't bet on that."

Rick coughed to conceal laughter.

Jordan took a deep breath, "Ah. Memories. Biy, did we cover this place in blood that night! And semen! And rectal goo. Ahhh." Jeremy grinned. Jeff missed the good old days wehn Jekyl could just cover anything he wanted in semen.

Rickyuzaki was pissing off the side.

"STOP DISRESPECTING SACRED GROUND!" Cyril pushed Rick off the edge. Somewhere below Emily was counting her lucky stars that she hadn't just got pissed on.

"Alright, what were we doing to revive these people again?"

Ryuzaki floated back up, "Take his blood!" He pointed at Jeremiah.

Cyril grabbed Jason's arm, apparently the only one who knew his name, and made a small incision on the back of his hand. "Dunno why people cut their palms," he muttered as he did so, "That's where all the nerve endings are, dipshits. Now what?"

"DNA. There'll be large mutations and additions and holes. It should bs simple to code the dead ones' DNA, down to memory things."

Rick pulled out a machine to calculate this. A repurposed SONY Walkman.

"This isn't even vaguely plausible." Cyril did whatever needed to be done with the blood.

Emily had climbed the cliff by now and stood beside Cyril, "Whatcha doin'?"

"Reviving dead peeps." Rick took the Walkman. "We have to wait. I'd say, one adventure."

"Requests?" Cyril looked about.

Rick shook his head.

Jack did as well.

".............................Um. There's a plot-heavy mountain nearby."

"Sounds like fun," Emily said.

Rick kept postibg until this works.

They went there

"Okay, so, apparently," Cyril began, "If you look ever so slightly to the left," Cyril tilted his head ever so slightly. "You disappear." Cyril disappeared with an audible pop.

Emily tentatively touched where Cyril had been. "Weird..." She tilted her head. Pop! Gone.

Rick kept moving his head. Nothing. He sighed and moved his bigger head.

"Hah," Jason laughed at the penis joke, "Fresh!"

They both disappeared.

All around them was a blue, swirly desert. "Oh this is strange." Cyril looked around. "It's not quite indigo but this looks exactly like my favorite spot in the desert."

"What? This is a forest, Cyril." Emily insisted, looking about and seeing a blue forest.

Rick saw a blue Beer Volcano.

Jason saw a Blue's Clue.

In each vision a glowing, bright, terrible light appeared in just the left side of their vision. It managed to stay there no matter where you turned. It was ungodly, terrible, and smiling. "U-um. Guys?" Cyril spun around in a circle, "You see that?"

"Yes," the said together.

The light shifted and broiled and then disappeared. "Now it's gone..."

It appeared only in Rick's vision and seemed to be getting closer.

"Your Noodliness," Rick asked in a raspy voice, "Have you come for me?"

"What?" Cyril and Emily looked at Rick oddly.

The light shifted until it was position directly over the mountain. It seemed to beckon for Rick.

Rick began moving forward in awe, muttering Pastafarianist prayers.
