Cyril quietly handed her her tea and drank his own. "That does seem a bit complicated, but I'm not gonna question it." Cyril stared into his tea for a bit. "I've dreamed about this. Most nights it's either about the war or it's about you."

"I am war, darling," she reminded him, drinking the tea. "Oh God. Tea. Where we went after we died... it wasn't like what I though the afterlife would be like. No Hell, no heaven, just... sand. Dust and sand. They made us pass the time by killing humans with notebooks!"

"Hmm, doesn't sound like our universe's afterlife. You must've been sent somewhere else since the universe was destroyed." Cyril postulated.

"The apples..." She shuddered. "We were grotesque. Angels of death. Reapers. Shi.... Shit I forgot what we called ourselves."

"Sounds like nothing I've heard of before," Cyril said, making a mental note to get some fresh apples later.

"That universe had a Ryuzaki. And... oh, god." She shrieked in pain.

Cyril immediately wrapped an arm around her"Sshh, shh what is it? What's wrong?"

"It burns... my mind is burning! I can't think about that place'" She winced and bit into the porceline of her teacup, her lips bleeding from the ragged pieces of china.

"Then don't, shhh. It doesn't matter now. We're here. Together once more." Cyril frowned. That didn't bode well. Perhaps he should question this godsend.

Somewhere, Rick was eating up Cyril's choice of words. "Heh. Godsend, all right!"

Lily looked into Cyril's eyes. "Show me the universe..."

Cyril stood up and took Lily's hand. I almost said Lilies'. Anyway, he led her to the doorway and it slid open to reveal a picturesque view of space. "Only if you promise to stick around to make it beautiful?" Cyril smiled as he remembered the first time they had met on their travels. It had been awfully similar to this moment.

She gasped at the universe and put her head on his shoulders. "Duh."
