Cironos and Garuda nodded at eachother and began to release their dark energy. The energy waves combined and created a dark seal in front of them that reversed the abilities back towards their user.

Cyrukai and Emarah were thrown back into their mortal forms. Cyrukai groaned. He had never been in mortal form before. He felt like shit. "Son of a..." Cyrukai struggled to his feet. He activated the glacian artifact and handed it to Riza, "Riza, pass that around." Cyrukai brushed himself off. "So, Garuda, tell me. Why did you do this? I can't begin to fathom why you want to destroy your own home."

"Simple." Answered Garuda. "I hated my people."

Cyrukai sighed, "Ah. I wonder if that means your wife is still alive?" Cyrukai cocked his head, as if listening to someone. "Cironos, did your mother approve of this?"

Emarah looked around and a look of realization dawned. "Where's Raina?" She asked Riza.

Garuda suddenly darkened. "That whore? No I killed her. I slowly ripped her apart like she did to my heart."

Cironos tilted his head. "My mother?"

Riza shrugged. "Who cares?"

"What did she do?" Cyrukai asked softly. "Yes, your mother. Do you even remember her?"

"I do!" Emarah barked. "Riza, how did she know their plans? We know now there is no way spies could infiltrate this place."

"I found her in the arms of my brother. So I slaughtered them both. And you know what? It felt good. It felt really good!"

Cironos yawned. "Never had one of them."


Riza looked at Emarah. "She can handle herself."

"Cironos," Cyrukai said, "What about your father? Didn't he constantly abandon you in a childish pursuit of power?"

"I'm not worried about her being able to handle herself!" Emarah said, "What is she doing that's more important than this? I think we've perhaps taken her abilities for granted. She must have some angle."

Cironos shook his head. "Never had one of those either. I was raised by-"

His sentence was cut of by a flurry of stabs from Riza. "Should have attacked instead of talked."

Garuda suddenly went silent. "You are all going to die here...." Suddenly his power exploded.

Emarah waited yet another turn, perhaps unwisely.

Riza tilted his head. "I'm going to skin you alive and mount you above my palace."

Garuda roared and shot a beam straight at Cyrukai.

"If you have a nice trick up your sleeve, Riza, now is a good time..." Emarah realized Cyrukai was playing for time.

Garuda spun around and swung at Cyruaki.
