The blast sent Zero flying and he slammed against a tree, "Just peachy."he staggered a bit and then fell flat on his face. Zero was knocked clean out.

"He wasn't trying to kill me though!" Maynin replied to the demon. She watched Zero slam into the tree. That's weird, a tree in the desert.

Maynin shrugged. She started eating a cactus, thorns and all. "Don't move too much, Zero. You'll make it worse." She turned back to the demon. "What's your name anyways?"

The demon rubbed her daughter's head. "Yep. It's nice to meet you Maynin. Riza told me all about you."
