Rick looked around nervously, "What?! Why?"

Cyril hid a smile behind his hand. He wondered if Emily was serious....

"Among other things." Emily shrugged casually, "So Cyril, what was that technique again?"

Rick gulped. "So... what's next," he asked, croaking slightly.

"The name of the technique is called Soaring Dragon Strike. It's actually pretty simple for something so fancy sounding." Cyril sniffed.

"Alright, so... how does it go?" Emily asked.

Rick pointed upwards for some reason. "What she said."

"I... don't remember actually." Cyril admitted. "Like... a jab and an upper cut? Does that sound right?"

Emily just kinda stared at Cyril and shrugged.

Rick did the Macarena.

"Here, you know what? Just attack those dummies with a bunch of combinations involving uppercuts. I'll tell you when you've got it." Cyril looked thoughtful.[100+ words ending with you trying a left hook then an uppercut.]

Rick sighed and began hitting the damn thing with punches and such. He even headbutted into it. Nothing. And he still had eighty words left! Ugh. Oh, well. He began jumping up and down in desperation. It did absolutely nothing. Nada. Zilch. That's when a dead, immortal, ancient orange man streaked across the room. Streaked. As in, nayked. No shade for his lamp, as it were. Really weird. Yeah. "For a shapeshifter, his dick is small," Rick muttered. Artik vanished. The painful images were still there. In frustration he flailed his arms outwards, accidently hooking it left and cutting it upwards. Whatever the fuck that means.

Emily sighed. She had a feeling Cyril hadn’t forgotten and was just screwing with them. Or maybe it was to teach them a valuable lesson. That would make sense since Cyril was a mentor. And generally clever and insane. So yeah, probably the latter possibility. Emily approached one of the stereotypical hay-stuffed dummies. She settled into a fighting stance and thought about what would make sense. What series of moves would deserve to be called Soaring Dragon Strike? Well, she figured it would somehow knock the opponent into the air, so she began with a kick to the abdomen to lower the dummy’s fictitious defense and then did an upper cut. She looked at Cyril. Nope.
Next, she tried a nasty left hook followed by an uppercut.

Cyril nodded, "Yup, that's it! And... was that Artik? Naked? His genitals were pretty small..."

Emily ignored the Artik bit, "So Soaring Dragon Strike is just a hook followed by an uppercut?"

Rick tried not to vomit.

"Yup. Both of you do it one more time, I want to make sure everything is as it should be. And don't you vomit on this floor Rick! If some Solar Saiyan genitals bother you so much you're in the wrong line of work."

Emily approached the dummy again and performed the technique. The dummy was knocked off its post and fell to the ground.

Rick did the same and it flew out of the post.

"Good job, good job." Cyril said. "I think you two have that one down!"

Emily's energy was beginning to flag and the sun had risen some time ago. Or set, depending on when we started this, Emily had forgotten. She was very pleased with today's/tonight's session.

Rick grinned, eager to learn, "What's next?"

Cyril racked his brain for any more techniques he could teach the both of them. "I have one more for today's session. This should come pretty easy to the both of you at your current skill levels."

Emily rolled her shoulders and gathered herself to learn one more technique.

Ryuzaki realized how long it had be since he had tea and twisted into a pretzel doing a headstand, "Dammit, Ryuk," he said. He blinked, "Where the hell did that come from?"
