Rocket Man

Ryuzaki's eyes got large, "Okay. Time machine spaceships, that's one thing! But... teleporting?! Next you'll tell me you're a kung fu warrior that uses laser beams from your hands to fight!" He laughed deliriously. "And you can fly! Ha!"

"I have four wings, why wouldn't I be able to fly?" queried Cyril, looking thoroughly amused. "I'm immeasurably old as well, why wouldn't I know some form of martial arts?"

Ryuzaki narrowed his eyes, "And all the others know kung laser fu and can fly, right?"

"Pretty much yes. Most of them have enough skill to go against an army and disarm each man and woman without taking one life. Not that they would of course." Cyril casually plucked a book off the shelf and flipped it's pages lazily. "A few of us have enough power decimate an entire planet, barehanded. Perhaps the strongest of us, an entire galaxy." Cyril put the book back on its shelf and looked Rick in the eye. "Though, lucky you, most of us have pledged ourselves to the defense of our universe. Mostly. Sometimes a few of us." Cyril said this last part sharpy, "a few of us kill without remorse and cause mayhem."

Ryuzaki frowned, "You're the strongest. But you said you were ancient. What happens when you aren't around? Because back there," he gulped, "back there, some immortal orange guy melted. And that whole planet!"

"How am I supposed to know what happens when I'm not around?" Cyril laughed, "Only kidding, I have my ways." Cyril sat down with a sigh, "Yes, that was Artik. My closest friend here in Universe 42B. I don't know why he melted, nor why that planet melted. But apparently you and me figure it out somewhere along the way."

Ryuzaki saw where this was going, "Well. Alright. But I want you to teach me to defend myself."

"Excellent, glad to know we're on the same page." Cyril clapped Ryuzaki on the shoulder. He cocked his head as if listening to something. He nodded, "That time already? Alright then, I suppose." Cyril moved to his console. "Not here, though. There's someone I must pick up. And I need to check on a planet." The ship hummed and buzzed. "But don't worry, you'll be in no danger where we're going."

Ryuzaki nodded grimly. "Shove on, I suppose."
