Artik's fancy dress robes billowdd behind him as he strode through a dark, ominous door. He blinked at the new world....

All across the si-- universe, similar doors opened.

He sighed. It was beautiful, a marble room trimmed with gold gleamed with a dazzling light. Artik stood in the middle on a small, circular platform enclosed with wooden railing. Artik sighed as he remembered. And then he fainted.

Cyril stepped through a plain wooden door into the glorious Grand Senatorium though at the time he didn't know it was called this. He gave a low whistle, "Oh that's gorgeous!" He admired the architecture and the gilded...well everything. "Beautiful!" He strolled around the room and vaulted over the wood railing, "Well hello." Cyril picked Artik up and sat him against the railing, "What are you doing here?"

"If we can just keep it stable until the underspecies are developef enough to unlock it....", Artik mumbled. Then he awoke. "Cyril?" He blinked, before standing up straight, "Welcome... to the Grand Senatorium! Located in the dimensional nexus! Postal abreviation, Nowhere!" A tray of tea and scones appeared on a round parlour table. "Tea?" He sat in one of the six chairs around the table.

Makoto walked in wearing his royal robes that he had kept. "Hello Artik. Nice to see you again." Makoto walked over and expected his friends attire. "I never thought I would see the day I saw you wearing something like this." Makoto sat down at the round table and relaxed. "Why not? Ill take some."

Cyril waved away the tea and scones then yawned. "Nah, I think I'll just go duck behind one of those pillars and sleep." Cyril walked over to behind a gilded marble pillar and soon he began to snore.

Artik poured himself and Makoto a cup. He sighed and looked around the room, not registering what Makoto said.

Makoto took his cup and had a small sip. "I do like this place. Closing his eyes he calmly set the cup down and spoke. "Artik...you remember the fight we had a little while ago?" Makoto suddenly grinned and opened his eyes. "That was a test. You passed." Makoto looked at his old friend and began his explanation. "You see I was testing to see if you were worthy of being king. I needed to make sure that not only that you could rally a troop but also that you had the guts to beat some sense into them if they needed it." Taking another sip of his tea Makoto continued. "That whole anger thing I did? It was an act. The whole meeting was a plan by me. I raised my power level so you would find me. So Im proud of you my friend. You are a worthy successor to the throne."


(This isn't a ret-con. I literally had that as a plan ;D))

Artik did a spittake that bounced off a marble bench onto Cyril. "Err. Knew that." Artik cleared his throat and leaned back in his chair. He sighed. "Oh. And thanks for the compliment." He yawned, "Now. We wait." He poured a new cup of tea and sipped it. "THAT BURNS LIKE CACTUS PORN." He spat it on the floor and it somehow ricocheted onto Cyril again.

Cyril remained asleep, oblivious to having been spit on.

Makoto got up and walked over to the sleeping person. "Really? This is very rude." He got aq bit of the tea and splashed it on the sleeper. And for good measure he pushed him off of the pillar. "This is not the place to sleep. This is a place for conversation."

Cyril cracked open an eye and yawned. "Everywhere is a place to sleep if you're laying down." He got up, "Why... why do I have tea all over me?" Cyril began drying himself off with a towel he withdrew from god knows where. "You'll have to forgive me, I haven't had a wink of sleep in days and I have a bad feeling I wont be getting any again for quite awhile." Cyril laid his towel across the railing to let it dry and extended his hand towards the stranger who had woken him. "My name is Cyril, and yours?" he smiled politely.

Artik sighed, checking his fancy pocketwatch. "Righty-o, then. Looks like it's just us." He cleared his throat, "This meeting is called to order. Please, take your seat." He wanted to stall in case Chaz or Arai would show up.

Makoto sat back down and looked at Cyril. "Hey, you gonna be joining us?" Taking another cup of tea he had a sip. "So what exactly are we doing here?" He asked seriously. "I don't like to be kept waiting on things like this.

Cyril sat down opposite Artik and took a cup. "Of course I am why else would I be here?" Cyril scratched his head. "Well, obviously we're going to decide something. I expect we're waiting for Arai and Chaz. If that is so then we are most likely here to discuss our mutual problem." Cyril shrugged "Probably."

Artik cleared his throat. "Either of you two wanna be Earth's President?"

"Or you know. That." Cyril was a bit taken aback. He'd have figured Earth already had a government seeing how far along they had gotten evolutionary wise. "I suppose I'll throw my lot in."

"Second." Artik yawned. "All for say 'aye'." He raised his hand. "Aye."

Makoto looked at Cyril. "I third that. I would rather have you then that annoying midget Chaz." Makoto leaned back in his chair and looked at Cyril. "But I warn you. If you fail to protect anyone I care about on this planet I will personally hunt you down and show you a fate worse than death itself." Makoto nonchalantly took a sip of his tea and looked around.

Artik yawned. "Right." He gave Cyril a nod. "Unless someone else.... Yeah no
Have fun."

"Awesome." Cyril grabbed a few pastries from the table unconcerned about Makoto's remark. He took a bite "So do I get a sash or something?"

Artik yawned and clapped his hand. The Nexus donned Cyril with a sash reading, "King of Earfs" and a matching straw hat with the Earthican flag protruding from the middle. The Earthican flag, 'Ol Freebie, is essentially the 1949---20XX American flag with the Western hemisphere shown in liu of stars. Artik slid the Presidential Pocketwatch across the table. A dazzling, golden watch with hands studded with diamonds, with a simple, thin leather belt as a chain. "Completely indestructible." He yawned. "Ravinex alloy mixed with gold." Artik had become well acquanted with this metal, Ravinium, Ravenexiam, Nekous, the indestructable, ki deflecting, self-repairing alloy. Actually, Artik's Earth dojo was made of it, but.... The big universal shift that destroyed Chaztopia was enough to level the building. "'S the official Item of Leadership for Earth." He put on his ebony, gold, and ruby crown. "Vegeta's." He yawned.

Cyril examined the watch closely. "Impressive. If Ravinex alloy self-repairs does that mean you can't engrave anything on it?"

Artik clapped again and a Ravinex chisel and hammer appeared. "There."

Cyril grabbed the chisel and hammer. With a sigh he began the laborious process of writing in his language's version of cursive. "Thanks." After awhile he looked up again. "Anything else?"

"Have I told you to search out Piccolo's capr and turban from those Namekian rogues on Namek?"
