Cyril arrived back home late that afternoon from his mediation. He was pleased with his progress and felt he was ready to re-learn another technique. Cyril had originally planned to rest for the rest of the day but on the way home he realized he couldn’t afford the luxury of sleep and other time-wasting activities. However, he did stop by the safe house to a large lunch. He would need plenty of energy and mental acuteness to master the technique he was about to attempt. Cyril left the house and entered his space pod to fly to Vegeta.
“Space pod ascending, we will exit the atmosphere in 4 minutes.” Cyril fell into thought as he felt the space pod shake and rumble. He began thinking about the last time he learned this technique, attempting to remember as many tips as possible to get this done quickly.
“Activate deep sleep?” The pods computerized voice queried.
“No thanks,” Cyril answered. He didn’t trust things like that, he may never wake up! He opted to stay awake the entire time and think things through, meditate. Maybe he could begin the preparations for the technique in the pod. He’d have to be very careful; if he let his ki get out from his control he might damage the pod and die in here. Cyril smiled, all the more incentive to get things right the first time.
Cyril shifted and got comfortable, he breathed steadily and sank into a meditative state. He tried to ignore the occasional sounds emitted by the computer and the light vibration caused by the ship’s extreme speed. Cyril’s mind started to wander but he quickly remedied it.
Cyril finally reached a complete calm and he began to probe himself with his mind; he felt his ki well up within and it wanted to escape, but he couldn’t let it. Being able to contain his ki within a small space was vital to the Ki Fist. To be honest Cyril had hardly ever used the move, he only knew the basic parts of the move. He would actually have to find someone on Vegeta to teach him. Cyril thought it was best to review the basics though; he didn’t want to have to stay on Vegeta long if he could help it.
Cyril felt his ki and forced it to flow normally through his body despite the excitement he always had when arriving to a new planet. Cyril concentrated on his ki and manipulating it carefully throughout the journey. Through much effort he finally managed to envelope his hand in ki without it interfering with the instruments of the ship.
“We have arrived at your destination. Have a nice day,” the computer buzzed and the door slid open with a hiss. Cyril stepped into the sunshine and blinked until his eyes adjusted to the sunlight. Cyril looked around and found himself in a forest.
“I’m glad this wasn’t one of those desolate planets that are only hospitable to the creatures that evolved there.” Cyril smiled brightly at his luck. He had never even thought of Vegeta being inhospitable. “Better get moving then!” Cyril walked through the forest for a while getting a feel for the new gravity. When Cyril got used to the gravity he jumped into the air and began flying towards the direction of a city. Cyril flew low and landed. Cyril walked a short distance into the city to avoid drawing attention to himself. He had been expecting to not find a teacher for awhile but as soon as he entered the city he found all sorts of places that taught techniques and were used for training.
On the way in one of the dojos he nicked a pouch of zenni from a nearby Saiyan to pay for the training, it would no doubt cost money. He entered the dojo and approached the counter.
“Hello there, sir” said the trainer, “What can I do for you?”
“I’d like you to teach me how to use the technique Ki Fist?”
“Sure thing buddy, that’ll be 500 zenni.”
Cyril handed him the zenni he had stolen.
“Okay kid come on and we’ll get you knocking the lights out of your worst enemy in no time.”
Cyril followed the trainer inside where he taught him the finer points of the Ki Fist, he was surprised Cyril had already made so much progress and it didn’t take very long.
When they were finished Cyril bowed to the trainer and thanked him. He left and hopped into the space pod to return to Earth.
