Cyril was pacing about in his study in his glowing cloud space ship. His head was buzzing with thoughts and plots and a few rocks. He was concerned still. Not too long ago, Cyril had achieved both his remaining transformations through a very painful process in a day or two, but he was still sorely lacking in the power department even though he was probably the second most powerful being in this universe. Amaterasu was somewhere above one hundred billion in power level, well out of reach for now. Riza was slightly below Cyril at somewhere above one billion. Cyril was well into three billion power level, but nonetheless, he stood no chance against Riza or Amaterasu. Both Riza and Amaterasu were in possession of some sort of set of Legendary Swords which gave them unprecedented abilities. Cyril was, for the first time ever, simply outclassed. It was a strange feeling for Cyril. He was used to and okay with being a bit weaker than others, but he had always been able to rely on his abilities and prowess in battle to put him on top during a fight. However, this was no longer the case and Cyril really had to step up his game in more than one way. Cyril had two priorities now.
One, Cyril had to learn as much as he could. Cyril had to learn everything he could get his hands on. He would have to travel from planet to planet, learning anything remotely useful. Eventually Cyril knew he would have to die somehow and learn the abilities in Other World, or get someone else to teach him lacking that. Cyril needed every single asset get could get if he were to match Riza’s skills with his Legendary Swords, perhaps even fashion something that would give him an edge in battle himself if he had too. Cyril paused his quick pacing. Now there was an idea… make something himself. Cyril shook his head and filed the idea in his head for later. Cyril would not stand to be outclassed.
Two, Cyril had to make a huge bid for power. Cyril would have to train for months uninterrupted to be able to truly surpass Riza in battle prowess and to even begin to match Amaterasu’s sheer power. Not to mention that Riza would likely teach Amaterasu his techniques and make her even more unassailable. So, Cyril had to find every possible venue to gain power. He would not go overboard like Ryuzaki and become hell bent on defeating Riza, no, he only wanted guaranteed safety from Riza and his company. Riza’s motives are too unknown to risk being at his mercy. Yes, Cyril would have to do some serious finagling to surpass Riza and Amaterasu in power and skill.
Cyril sighed and stopped pacing. Cyril plopped down in a cushioned seat beside a tall bookshelf, exhausted already by the paths set out before him. A small poster fluttered down from his bookshelf. Cyril frowned and stared at the poster. He didn’t remember taking one of these onto his ship. It was a poster with a picture of some Kai giving one a thumbs up with the caption, “New Gods of Creation needed! Keep your nose clean and remember, you could be the next great deity!” Cyril raised his eyebrow. A god, eh? He wouldn’t say no to that. Maybe that would be a nice one up on Riza and Amaterasu. Cyril looked over the requirements and smiled, he meet most of the requirements and wasn’t too far from meeting the last one. Excellent, Cyril thought. Just excellent.
Cyril replaced the poster and sank back into thought. Becoming a god would give him plenty of very strong abilities which would significantly level the playing field. Perhaps this would be his first goal? Cyril drummed his fingers along the arm of the chair. Should he train now or should he begin learning techniques? Cyril pondered this for quite awhile. A little extra power would be useless against Amaterasu, but the god hood and all its perks would be a tremendous help against Riza and eventually Amaterasu too. However, with his empty day stretching before him, he couldn’t help but wonder if he should just go ahead and learn some useful techniques that didn’t require god hood. Cyril stood up finally. No, he decided, he had a nice training regimen planned out for himself. Cyril would learn a technique or two today and move on to training later, perhaps after the problem with the Emperor solved itself. Cyril checked his watch, “Is that still going on?” Cyril wondered. He wasn’t entirely sure what time line he was in right now. Oh well. “Computer, calculate which technique would benefit me best for now.” The computer blinked momentarily until it intoned an answer. “Combo and C-Combo, both of which can be learned on New Ravinex.”
Cyril nodded, “What are the effects?”
“Allow the user to string together two or more techniques in a quick manner, allowing the opponent little if any time in between attacks.”
“Excellent, take me to New Ravinex now.” Cyril commanded.
The ship whirred and clicked and landed softly on New Ravinex. Cyril removed his trusty Traveler’s Guide to see what it had to say about New Ravinex.
“After the Cynric Crisis, the Rava homeworld was evacuated right before the planet was destroyed by a Planet Trade Organization Armada. The Rava, with their vast empire, refurbished a colony and made it their new capital. Since then, Emperor Felix has ruled, making the empire more peaceful and took them away from the slave trade.
New Ravanix is a harsh expanse of badlands and dry plains; only in the south, near the oceans, does the land become somewhat fertile. Rainforests cover this area, and various crops are grown here. These crops are grown by farmers now, as Felix did away with the slaves. New Ravanix is home to the feline Rava.”
Cyril nodded as he absorbed this information. He stashed the book back in his deep pocket. Cyril walked to the door and exited the spaceship.
An angry riot meet his exit of his ship.
“I’LL TEACH WHOEVER I WANT, DAMNIT.” Someone shouted to the left of him.
The angry mob looked infuriated by this.
“HEY, SEE THIS GUY?” Suddenly the Rava guy to the left grabbed Cyril by the shoulders. “I’M GONNA TEACH HIM COMBO AND C-COMBO.” He shouted in defiance. As the angry mob roared Rava guy looked Cyril up and down, “You wanna learn?”
“Er, sure. Why is this crowd so angry?”
“They don’t want me to teach outsiders. But I’m about to do it.”
“Awesome.” Cyril breathed.
The Rava guy to the left taught Cyril Combo and C-Combo to spite the angry crowd.
