The slave-I landed on planet vegita. Zero had come here seeking a master that could teach him some new moves, he hadn’t learned any in a while. Zero strolled around the city and looked at every advertisement on street posts and bulletin boards were people would usually post fliers for new businesses that wanted to attract attention to their business. Zero wandered for hours, then he saw it a flier for a fighting school.
“Come one, come all, the new fighting dojo in the west part of the city is now open.
Fighting moves we can teach:
Lightning kick
Gigantic spike
And for those Ki users Ki fist
Come on down to the dojo and enroll today.”
Zero couldn’t believe it he found a school for fighting, he knew he made a good choice by starting on vegita. Zero tour down the flier and followed it to the address. Once there zero noticed the building itself wasn’t very much to look at, mostly just an ordinary dojo. Except they had barracks for the students to sleep in. zero walked up to the man at the registry booth and signed up for the courses that taught the three moves advertised on the flier.
Zero walked into the barracks, they grouped people together by the courses they took at the school. Once there zero met a young man by the name of Kile, “hello, my name is Kile, are you in the class to learn how to do the Ki fist and all the cool kicks?” zero shook his head, “you can bunk with me if you want I call the top bunk though.” Zero threw what little bit of stuff he had brought off of the slave-I onto the bottom bunk.
Then a few minutes later as zero was just about to head to his first class a girl decided she would introduce herself as well, “hi there, my names jess. What’s yours?” Zero didn’t really reply right away, “you and I are in the same training class together for the first part of the day, I figured we could be training buddies.” Zero actually kind of liked the sound of having a partner to train with, perhaps the day would go by faster. Zero and Jess walked to the first class of the day. Every one wasn’t required to be any specific uniform, they just kind of wore what they usually did.
In the first class, lightning kick, the teacher told the students the basics of how to perform this simple move. “Now all this move has to it is the speed and stamina attributes of a fighter. It’s the speed that makes the kick as fast as lightning and the strength that causes the kick to deal so much damage. Today we will be working on the speed part of the move. Now every one partner up and I want you all to work together on trying to get your speed as high as you can.” Zero looked around for jess, he figured he might have a good chance of actually working on the moves if he didn’t have to meet anyone else. Then, out of nowhere Jess jumped onto zero and said, “Hey there partner, ready to start training?” zero stood up from were Jess had shoved him down and nodded his head, “you’re not much of a talker are you.” Zero kind of half nodded half shook his head.
As jess and zero worked on their speed they talked a little and got to know each other better, “ so what planet are you from, I mean you obviously not a saiyan and your no seraphim like Kile.”
“I’m a changeling. Zero said kind of half trying to open his mouth so that words could come out.
“No fooling, that’s great,” jess dodged one of zero’s kicks. “I’m a saiyan as you can tell by the tail.” Jess shot a kick at zero who quickly dodged it.”
“All right students that’s all the time we have for today. You will have a short break back in the barracks and then in ten minutes you will need to report to your next class.” The teacher then dismissed all the students.
Back at the barracks Kile was sitting on the top bunk waiting for zero to show up, “hey, guess what?” zero raised his head a little to show he was interested in what Kile had to say. “My teacher says I’m one of the best in the class.” There was a quite pause in the room as another kid entered the room, he looked about zero’s age almost as tall too. “That’s Jackson, but everyone calls him jack, last class he beat up some kid because he called him a pussy. He made the kid bleed from almost every were imaginable. The kid had to be sent home because there was so much blood loss.” Zero looked at jack as he walked passed zero and Kile.
“Do you have something to say to me changeling freak? Cause if you do I got five words to say to you back.” Jack held up his fist to show he was talking about each finger meaning one word. Zero just turned and sat on his bed. “You think you can ignore me, freak?”
“That’s enough,” the barrack master said to jack, it was his job to make sure no fighting went on in the barrack between classes. “Save whatever this little skirmish is about and use it as fuel for the end of course fight.” Zero looked confused, but then remembered that the course fight was were the best two students in the dojo would spar against each other and who ever won the fight got to graduate. The bell rang indicating it was time for the next class. “I’ll see you later, changeling.”
In the next class Kile and zero decided that if it came to it they would be partners. This class taught the basics for a good Ki fist attack. The teacher walked into the room from his office where he had been sitting waiting for the next group of students to arrive.
“Hello students in this class we will learn the fundamentals for a good Ki fist technique. Now there are two parts to the Ki fist, one the Ki you will take the Ki that you pool into your hand and holed it there, however do not release it like a beam hold it in your hand. Next is the stamina the Ki you put into the attack is only half of the attack, the other half is determined by the force behind the punch. Now we have several dummy punching bags. What we will do is split the class into two groups and one group will work on the force and the other will work on the Ki gathering. Now split.” Zero and Kile both grabbed one of the dummy bags that were standing fairly close to the two. Once the groups were set the two groups began working.
Kile and zero began walling on the dummies and talked just as he and jess had, “ so I take that you are one of the ones that are just here for the moves and will do anything it takes to get to be one of the final two.” Zero looked down and continued punching the dummy. “I don’t really give a flying fart whether or not I get to be one of the final two, you really don’t have to reenroll next year, the staff didn’t think of that.” Kile was a smart kid, and zero figured Kile new it. Zero continued to punch the dummy.
“Hey Kile,” Kile looked up stunned, this was the first time he had heard zero say ant thing. “That guy jack, do you think he has a good shot at being in the final two?”
“Well, I would say he has a chance, but there are some pretty tough kids here, like you and jess, I wouldn’t count myself because I’m only fifteen but I would say he has a good chance.” Kile looked at zero’s dummy, “though if you keep doing stuff like that you might get a spot automatically.” Zero looked at the dummy and saw that it was all but gone, worn right down to the pole it was hung on. The bell rang for lunch and both Kile and zero headed towards the mess hall.
Once there Kile and zero saw that jess had saved a seat for each of them, “wow how did you manage this?”
“Don’t underestimate the power of women’s intuition. So how did you guys second class go?”
“Well zero demolished a dummy,” zero put on a dumb smile, “and the teacher says I have real promise.
‘That’s great. Oh, don’t look now but here comes jack attack.” The students had given him that nickname for the way he had brutally assaulted that one kid.
“Well, hello again freak, no wings, monkey but. How are we all today, never mind I don’t care, I just wanted to let freak no that we have the same class together next and I’m going to have so much fun getting to torcher you.” Jack walked off and got into the mess line.
“Gees what a jerk.”
“Yea, someone should teach him a lesson.” Zero said manically.
After lunch zero made his way to the next class, gigantic spike. Once in the room zero could see jack waving at him with an evil grin on his face. Zero took a seat next to the opposite wall. The teacher came into the room through the door the students did, he still had some food on his face from lunch.
“All right kids listen up, in this class we will learn how to literally take someone and drive them into the ground. Now in this class we will practice this with sensor dummies that will tell you whether or not the blow will kill the person or not. So who wants to go first?” jack raised his hand, “you there come on up and show us what you’ve got.” Jack came up to the front and grabbed the dummy like the teacher had shown him, then took it and slammed it head first into the ground. The scale read 41, the teacher looked at the grading scale, “let’s see, a 41 is a fractured neck, it won’t kill the person but it can hurt pretty bad.” Every one starred at jack as he walked back to his seat. Zero knew now that he and jack had a feud that would not stop until they were the final two.
After three months the classes were over and the scores of each student had been tallied, the final two were you guessed it zero & jack. The two boys took their places on the field were the battle would take place. A voice came over the speakers, “attention final two, in this match the winner will be able to graduate and the other will not. Now there are a few rules you may only use the techniques you learned in the school, any other moves and you will be disqualified. That is all.” Kile and jess sat in the front row of the stands so that they could better cheer on zero. The bell rang and immediately jack disappeared and then reappeared above zero, “lightning kick!” zero quickly dodged the attack and came back at jack with a Ki fist. The blow hit straight in the gut. Jackson bent over clenching his stomach. Zero too this opportunity to grab Jackson by the head lifted him into the air and slammed him into the ground. A small tremor could be felt from the attack. Jackson laid on the ground unconscious. “The winner of the match, zero. Congratulations zero you have earned the right to graduate from the dojo.
The next day at the graduation ceremony zero said good bye to his new friends Kile and jess. The three friends hugged each other and said that they would forever remember the times they shared together. Zero left the dojo and walked down the streets of Vegita and back to where the slave-I was parked. Zero walked into the ship and sat in the chair. Zero sat a small frame with a picture of the three of them on top of a small table in the middle of the ship. Zero was glad he had met the two of them and for some reason jack. Now zero flew off into space to his next destination.
