Roshi's tasks

Zero had recently acquired the  address of a master who had taught Son Goku and the other z fighters. Zero landed on a small island with a single house. Zero knocked on the door.

“who the hell is it?” A cranky voice called from inside the house.

“I Am zero, I am from galacian. I was hopping that you could train me and teach me some new fighting moves.” Zero smiled.

“Take a hike kid.” Roshi slammed the door in zero’s face.

“Please sir I have traveled a far seeking your guidance.” Zero said with a plea.

Roshi opened the door, “ Tell you what kid if you can find some magazines I’ve lost I’ll train you. BUT DON’T COME BACK WITHOUT UM!” Roshi slammed the door again.

Zero searched all around the small island in search of the magazines.  Then, zero found a magazine laying in the beach chair next to the palm tree. “Holy hell,” Zero said as he looked at the magazine, “ I guess this is the magazine the old man was talking about, dang.” Zero searched on. He walked around to the back of the house were he found another magazine on the garbage. Zero saw that the bathroom window was right above the garbage can and figured it must have fallen out the window. Zero took a look inside the magazine to make sure they were the same magazines. “ Holy.” they were. Zero took the two magazines to Roshi.

“Hehehe, good work, but there’s still one more magazine missing.”  

“is that it laying under the coffee table?” Zero asked confused.

“Well I’ll be a monkeys uncle it is.” Roshi bent down to pick it and as he looked at the magazine he laughed and drooled a little.

“So now you’ll train me right?” Zero asked

“Huh? Yea, yea sure. Come on in and make your self comfortable, we’ll start tomorrow.”  Zero walked into the house and when Roshi wasn’t looking took another look at the magazines.

Zero awoke the next day to find himself on the coach with one of Roshi’s magazines covering his face. Zero took the magazine and gave it a once over, “ Dang.” Zero heard Roshi walking down the stairs  and flung the magazine onto the coffee table and flopped back on the coach. “Wake up dummy we’ve got work to do if I’m gonna be training you.” Zero shot up off the coach  and landed  on his feet. “yes sir.” Both Zero and Roshi walked out onto the beach were Roshi pulled out a small capsule that read “ car “ on the label. Roshi through the capsule out and before he new it there was an actual car rite before them. “Hop on in.” Roshi told Zero. The two flew to the main land and stopped in a small village. Roshi and Zero stepped out of the car and headed toward a small cliff over looking a city. Roshi took out a sharpie and then picked up a rock and drew the kanji for turtle on the rock. Roshi then proceeded to throw the rock at the city. “see that rock I just through?” Roshi asked Zero. “uh huh.” Zero replied. “your job is to find that rock and bring it back to me. “WHAT! But you through it at a city it could be any were, some one could have kicked it down a sewer drain by now.”
“then I suggest you get moving.” Roshi said with a smirk on his face. Zero took of in the direction of the city, “old fool, doesn’t he know that rock could be any were.” Zero searched for hours in the city he looked on top of buildings, under parked cars that it could have rolled under. Zero had no luck finding the rock. Eventually Zero Gave up and started to head back home, but then Zero thought about what Roshi would say, “ if you cant even find one rock then there’s no use in training you.” Zero hung his head  low as he flew out of the city limits. Then Zero saw it, the rock with the kanji for turtle drawn on it. The rock hadn’t even gone into the city limits. Zero flew down to pick up the rock and as he landed he noticed that the area were it lay was very close to the cliff were he started. “That old fool must have throne it  knowing it wouldn’t make it to the city. I’ll kill him for making me search all over that retched city.” Zero picked up the rock and through it at Roshi’s head, who was sitting with his back turned to the city. The rock hit Roshi in the back of his head. “what the hell. Oh, he found the rock.” Roshi turned to see Zero standing only a few inch’s behind him. “ I found the rock, What next?”
“patience kid the day is almost over we’ll start again tomorrow.” Zero had no complaints all this meant was Zero would be able to see the magazines again. The two headed back for Kami House as the day was winding down to an end.

Zero was meditating out side on the beach as he waited for Roshi to return. As Zero meditated on the beach the phone rang inside the house. Zero walked in picked up the receiver and answered, “ Hello, Kami house, Zero speaking.”
“HELP,” Roshi’s voice screamed over the phone,” HELP ME, THERES THIS REALY BIG GUY OVER HERE AND HE’S GOING TO KILL ME.”
“Calm down, were are you?” Zero asked.
“I’m at the red dragon dojo, I was picking up some stuff for your training when I saw this young fox standing behind the counter and I was, I guess you could say hitting on her, when her husband came up to me and asked what I was doing, now he’s going to kill me.”
“I’ll be right there.” Zero hung up the phone and flew as fast as he could, “ he may be an old fool but he’s still got things to teach me before he dies, and if he dies before then I’ll curse his name.”  Zero searched the city until he final found a building that, in bright letters spelled, The Red Dragon Dojo. Strangely the letters where in blue and green no red. Zero walked in the door and found Roshi tied to a pole with two large men standing in front of him. “Excuse me but might I speak to your boss?” One of the large men went into the back to get there boss. Three minutes later a man dressed in a fighting uniform came out from the back. “So your this mans student huh, well let me tell you I don’t know why he called you he should have called the funeral home and made a reservation.”
“ Sir I have no intentions of harming you but if you hurt this man, though foolish he maybe, I will not hesitate to hurt you.”
“ Will just see about that now won’t we.”
“indeed we will.” Zero took a fighting stance and waited for the man to make the first move. The man made for zero’s stomach with a left jab. Zero simply knocked the man away. The man stood back up grabbed a  pole that had the words “ wupin stick” wrighten on it. The man lunged the pole at Zero several times. Zero avoided every single jab and grabbed the pole from the man and broke it in to two smaller pieces. “Is it my turn now?” Zero asked with a grin on his face. The man turned to run but Zero was to quick for him. Zero rushed a head of him and punched him backwards. Zero quickly ran behind the man and punched him again. Zero repeated this process a few more times before he thought the man had had enough. The man lie unconscious as blood ran from his nose. Zero had not meant to break the mans nose he was just having so much fun beating the man around like he would his punching bags. Zero walked over to Roshi and let him down from were he hung. “ Jesus Christ kid, and your wanting lessons from me?”
“ he really wasn’t that tough, I was barely exerting any strength at all.”
“ sure you weren’t. Now lets get back home so you can clean out the gutters.”
“I still fail to see how that’s part of the training, and wile we’re on the subject washing your dish’s as well, as a matter of fact how does any of this qualify as training.”
“It’s all about patience my boy, patience.” Zero and Roshi went back to Kami house and continued his training. Witch apparently meant doing all of Roshi’s chores.

Zero was reading one of Roshi’s old books and saw a picture of son Goku performing a move he had never seen before. “ Hey master Roshi what move is this?” Roshi looked over and laughed a little, “ why, that’s the kamehameha my boy. You see by drawing your latent ki into the palms of your hands your able to expel an explosive beam of ki energy.”
“ Wow, will you teach me how to use the kamehameha, please?” Zero pleaded with Roshi to teach him the kamehameha.
“ I suppose I can teach you this move, but only if you pay attention to every thing I saw. Got it?”
“got it. When do we start?” Roshi lead Zero out on the beach. Roshi paused, drew his hands back  and in one fell swoop released a humongous beam of ki. “ Now you try and don’t forget to say the words that’s half the work. Zero stepped forward , drew back his hands, “ Kame,” focused all his energy, “hame,” then released all the energy he stored up into his palms, “ ha!” sadly Zero was only able to produce a small beam of ki energy that was a tenth the size Roshi’s was. “Good job my boy, keep at it, I’m going to get some tea.” Zero kept at it while Roshi went and got some tea. Zero wasn’t quite sure what went wrong, he had done every thing Roshi had he even said the words. This wasn’t going to be easy, but Zero wasn’t giving up. Zero practiced for a hole day and was still only able3 to produce a beam of ki that was half the size of Roshi’s. was he holding back was he not putting enough energy into the beam. Zero tried again this time giving it every thing he had. “ Kame,” he drew his hands back, “ hame,” he focused all his energy in to his palms that he could, “ ha!” and released enough energy that was the size of Roshi’s. Zero cheered, he had done it he had produced a kamehameha. Roshi walked out onto the beach, “ Good work kid you finally managed to produce a kamehameha as big as mine. But now can you match the energy out put?” Zero was confused, he thought the out put was the same. “You see if you can match the energy out put you’ll be able to produce a beam that size with ought having to exert all that energy.”  Zero focused, now that he had the size of it down he just had to control the energy he put into it. Zero held back his hands, “ kame,” drew in energy that was half the amount he put into the last one, “hame,” and released the energy, “ ha!”  The beam was the same size as the last and with only half the energy. “ Good job kid you did it.” Zero was proud of him self this was the first time he actually was able to do something with his ki except just shoot it at random. Zero and Roshi both went back i9nside to celebrate  Zero triumph with drinks and magazines.

Yeah, but... you did the last part of Roshi's quest. The reward was that you only need to write a hundred-word post to learn Kamehameha.
