Cyril walked out of Denny's and beckoned to Artik through the window.

Artik launched himself through the window. "Yeeeesssss?"

"Can you teach me Galick Gun? Also pick up the tab for the broken window?"

Artik nodded. "Okay. And no." He gestured for Cyril to follow him to a wasteland, they flew passed a burnt patch of Earth from five years ago, "My old hut," he muttered. He stood over a ravine.

Cyril marveled at the ravine. "Marvelous, been quite awhile since I've been to such a diverse planet." Cyril looked around and his eyes alighted upon the hut, "Yeah it looks very old and...hut...like."

Artik briefly wondered if Cyril was Makoto-ing on hin, as he burned down the hut five years ago. "Planets have poles. Right?"

Cyril, still looking for Artik's hut, answered absently, "This one does anyway."

He nodded. "Two magnetic poles. But... magnetism is one energy. There are two more poles on Earth--- spiritual and dark energy." He paused. "Because Cynric made it so. West City is the Dark Pole, its people now corrupt and soaking in waaay too much evil ki." He frowned. "And this, on the opposite side of the planet, my old stomping grounds, is the Spiritual Pole. Tranquil, serene. Feel the ki resonate within you."

Cyril frowned, "Don't be preposterous that would devastate this planet's balance and..." Cyril looked up slowly, "Artik. The sun." High in the very bright sky was the sun. It seemed...bigger...closer.

Artik scoffed. "It doesn't feel hot..." Choosing to ignore it, "It wouldn't destroy the balance. Creating an evil core in West City, the planet's nature fixed it, making this spot the yin to the yang-dang-doodle." Artik sighed. "Just feel the damn ki."

"I feel the damn ki of course I feel the damn ki my ki sense is unlike any other." Cyril muttered indignantly. He wasn't very pleased for having taken so long to notice the shift in ki. "It's very... pure. For Earth."

Artik nodded. "Pure. But... the Dark Pole is more than just evil. Evil and reserved, calculating. So, this ki is pure... and primal. The Galick Gun is this way. Primal. Not good, not evil. Primal, unfiltered, pure, raw."

Cyril nodded and stopped looking for the hut, though he was pretty sure he had found it in a black spot deep in the ravine.

He took a deep breath. "Inhale the sheer power of the ki. The primality, and focus it into a beam." Artik demonstrating, shooting a large beam of ki into the sky. "See? It'll be easy, here. Using the Earth's polar ki."

Cyril took off his shoes. He had experience with tapping into and using the power of planets. Cyril shifted uncomfortably as he remembered. But onwards and upwards. Cyril breathed in deeply and felt the ki shifting all around. Cyril pulled his hands back and put them together as if holding a ball. His white ki flickered into existence in the center and grew into a large ball. He threw out his hands but instead of a long continuous beam it was just a long beam. "Woops. One more try, I got this."
Cyril drew ki into his hands again and gathered it into a larger ball and shot it out, correctly this time.

Artik nodded. "Now, try it without the Polar Power."

"Sure thing." Cyril put his shoes back on and exhaled abruptly. His own white ki flared into existence and he pulled his hands back. Cyril collected his ki into a ball just like before and shot it out in a large beam.

Artik nodded again. "Now," he threw up a bunch of rocks into the air, "target practice!"

Cyril shot each and everyone one of them. Except that one that fell before he hit it. Galick gun wasn't exactly renowned for accuracy and speed.

Artik nodded again, again. "We're done." He flew off.
